About this course

Learn how to develop and structure an entire Whodunnit – plot, characters, locations, time period, suspense, twists and clever endings.

Course Description

From the author of THE COMING DARKNESS trilogy and THE MAISIE COOPER MYSTERIES, this comprehensive, whole-day workshop will teach participants how to develop and structure an entire WHODUNNIT – plot, characters, locations, time period, suspense, twists and clever endings.

Topics will include: an inspiring exploration of locations and moments in time; devising compelling, recognisable characters; generating a complex plot from a small cast; balancing subplots and back story; using real life as inspiration; surprise twists and fulfilling reveals; convincing endings.

The day will end with a question-and-answer session where participants can raise issues specific to their own writing.
