Course Description

This writing course will introduce techniques for writing successful fiction. You will be encouraged to experiment with different writing approaches and challenges, in a safe and supportive environment.

Writers of any genre and level of experience are welcome, ranging from complete novices to published authors. After all, writing is a great leveller, and today’s novice could be next year’s bestselling author!

By the end of this short course, you will have gained confidence in your own individual writing voice through exploring different elements of writing. These include plot, structure, character development, point of view, dialogue, descriptive writing, imagery and pace.

You should bring your own preferred materials for writing, and you will be invited to read out some of your work for mutually supportive group appreciation and critique.
