This day provides a solid grounding in the principles of drawing. Students will learn the basics of drawing and composing, including how to create sketch perspectives, assume scale and introduce texture and tone into their illustrations.
Starting with a demonstration of various techniques, students then follow a series of exercises throughout the day. They will be given the option to experiment with a variety of drawing medium but the course will focus mainly on working with pencils and pens.
This day will build confidence and offer new creative opportunities to designers.
The syllabus includes:
Overview – why sketching helps designers examine and develop ideas
Tone and mark making
Sketch perspectives
Simple exercises to build confidence.
This course takes place at KLC School of Design in London.
9.30am arrival.
