Create individual jewellery and designs. Develop your ideas through drawing, and be guided to realise your jewellery in three-dimensions. Techniques are demonstrated according to your needs.
Please note: if you would like to make small silver items, you should book onto a one-day silversmithing workshop (found in the short course metalworking category).
Your experience and the complexity of your idea will determine what you can achieve on a one-day workshop. Please discuss your idea with the tutor prior to the course by emailing the bookings office at: [email protected]
If you are a complete beginner and you have not made any silver jewellery before, it is advised that you attend a beginner’s jewellery day before attending this workshop where you will be guided through a set project to introduce the basic techniques of working with silver.
Timetable for one day courses
Students should arrive by 9am for registration.
Classes are from 9.15 - 5pm
Lunch is included.
Sarah graduated Brighton Polytechnic in 1981 and has combined her studio practice as a jeweller with teaching part time. A member of The Designer Jewellers Group, she has exhibited at the Barbican Arts Centre (London) for the last twenty eight years. In 2000 Sarah was invited to write an introduction to Jewellery for Crowood Press and she features in several youtube videos. Sarah's work can be seen on Facebook and Instagram.
