On this one-day course, we will sing in close three-part harmony, experiencing the joyful dissonance and resolution of the vocal traditions of Georgia, Corsica and the Balkans. Interesting chords will be savoured. Deep listening will be encouraged. Connections will be made through space and sound. Friendships will be formed.
Some of the harmonies are complex and take a certain amount of confidence to hold, therefore would it helps to have some confidence in your voice, and some experience of singing. The tutor is an experienced choir leader, performer, composer and community maker and will support and encourage you throughout this one-day singing course.
Timetable for one day courses
Students should arrive by 9am for registration.
Classes are from 9.15 - 5pm
Lunch is included.
Eleanor Holliday is a choir-leader with 21 years experience of teaching and composing songs.
She trained in Theatre and Speech, currently runs 5 weekly choirs and various other singing events, and is a member of the Natural Voice Network.
