Make a simple pair of enamelled drop earrings or a pendant in silver.
Following a short demonstration of basic enamelling techniques, you will experiment with colours and designs to gain confidence with the technique. Then you will decide on your own design to create either earrings or a pendant. You will be provided with a small disc of silver (approximately 12mm), which can then be made into a pair of earrings or a drop pendant that can be attached to a chain. You will make and enamel the jewellery.
Your tutor will solder the ear posts or attach jump rings to complete your enamelled piece/s of jewellery.
At the end of the course, you will go home with a finished item of silver enamelled jewellery to wear.
Materials and tools will be supplied for the course, including silver and enamels.
Available from shop: Silver can be purchased from the College Shop, which stocks a range of sheet, wire, rod, tube and findings. These will be available in set sizes and lengths, suitable for a wide range of projects.
A good selection of art and craft materials For any materials you need to purchase from the shop, we suggest you do so during the first morning of your course, after having discussed them with your tutor.
Please wear appropriate clothing/aprons for the workshop or studio. This includes stout covered footwear, i.e. no open-toes or sandals.
