Hannah Fox

Hannah Fox has been working at Marchants Hardy Plants with renowned plantsman, Graham Gough for 9 years. She has recently taken over the running of the nursery and is responsible for propagating all the high-quality plants for which the nursery has such a good reputation.

Describe your approach to teaching
I find the best teachers are the plants themselves! Through their growing habit, we can understand how best to propagate them. I like to encourage experimenting with different techniques, helping build confidence and having fun in the process.

What inspires your own work?
I am constantly inspired by the changing of the seasons and how that affects the work in the garden and potting shed. I love being surrounded by beautiful plants and, with them, the wildlife they attract.
