Ruth Singer

Ruth Singer is a textile artist with ten years professional experience. Ruth originally worked in museum education which influences her heritage-inspired textile work. She has written three books on sewing, including Fabric Manipulation (2013) and has had her first solo exhibition at The National Centre for Craft and Design in 2015.

I aim for my workshops to be relaxed and informal. I will show you a range of techniques, explain my own inspiration and research methods and allow you to explore your own ideas in a supportive environment.

My work is inspired by heritage, museums, objects and places, including landscapes and the natural world. I often explore ideas and personal stories, and use traditional techniques.
