Soft Ground showcases the work of students graduating from the BA Art and Contemporary Craft, Graduate Diploma Fine Art, and MFA programmes at West Dean College, as well as interim exhibitions by first-year MFA students. 

Taking place at Copeland Gallery, part of the thriving creative community at Copeland Park, in Peckham, Soft Ground will feature a broad range of work by emerging artists, working across a variety of media including sculpture, installation, printmaking, painting, film, ceramics, and textiles.

There will be an opportunity to meet the artists at the late opening on Thursday 17 July, 6-8pm.

This year’s exhibition will showcase original work by emerging artists on the BA Art & Contemporary Craft, BA Craft Practices, Graduate Diploma Fine Art and MFA (Master of Fine Art) programmes, featuring a diverse range of practices, with work in a variety media including sculpture, installation, printmaking, painting, film, ceramics, and textiles.
