Learn how to make a beautiful copperfoiled glass holly wreath, using coloured glass and glass nuggets to decorate your home for Christmas.
The course is a practical one and will include glass cutting, copperfoiling and soldering. Each stage will be demonstrated by the tutor and followed by individual tutor support.
This subject focused course is delivered to suit any level of experience from beginner to advanced practitioner.
Please note that you will be standing up to work during the first half of the day on this course, which you may find physically tiring. You will also need strength in your hands to use the glass cutters.
This one-day course follows a set project specifically designed and prepared by the tutor. Changes to the design can’t be done due to the logistics of the course.
Please note: If you are pregnant or breast feeding, you should consult your GP before enrolling on this course, as working with lead and solder can be harmful to the developing baby. You must not wear open shoes or have bare legs in the workshop. Please do not wear loose clothing or dangly jewellery, as it may get caught in machinery. Long hair must be tied back. Please note that you will be standing up to work during the first half of the day on this course.
