Kim Whitby - Wellington Sq Gardens Pintar Rapido, 2020

Kim Whitby

Kim Whitby is an experienced educator with a first degree in Art Education at King Alfred's College in Winchester (1993) and has latterly gained a Fine Art Masters Degree at Aberystwyth University (2016). She teaches regularly in London and with organisations, groups and societies. She understands what it is to be an eager adult student; she was recently one herself.

Describe your approach to teaching:

I am both organised and flexible: understanding how to make learning achievable whilst having the experience to respond to learners varying approaches, levels of experience and pace of learning.

What inspires your own work?

I am inspired by structure and the world I experience. Drawing is key to my practice, but I also paint. I am becoming increasingly aware that my better work is made en plein air.
