Your visit begins with a welcome drink by the roaring fire in the grand Oak Hall, where the warmth of the season meets the elegance of this historic setting. From there, enjoy a guided tour of key areas within West Dean House, offering fascinating insights into its rich heritage and stunning interiors. 

The evening continues in one of the house’s magnificent state rooms, where you'll be treated to a three-course Christmas meal crafted with fresh, seasonal produce from the West Dean Gardens. Share this special occasion with fellow guests in a beautifully festive atmosphere perfect for making cherished Christmas memories.

  • Freshly baked bread Herb butter 

To Start 

  • Gin and Tonic cured Salmon pickled lemon, fresh dill yoghurt
  • Game Terrine spiced apple and ale chutney, rocket
  • Spiced cauliflower velouté onion bhaji and chilli oil

Main

  • Hake and mushroom wellington spiced celeriac puree, wild mushrooms, dauphinoise
  • Stuffed Squash roasted beetroot, kale, pine nuts and puy lentils 
  • Rolled Turkey breast Roast potatoes, spiced celeriac puree, roasted carrot, winter berry jus

Dessert

  • Christmas yule log meragine kisses, forest fruits and crème fraiche 
  • Orange and cinnamon posset with shortbread
  • Local Cheeses crackers, spiced pear chutney and fruits

This venue has steps to the front reception, with limited access via a side gate to the ground floor. There is a small lift to higher floors or stairs.

Entry is through the main college entrance the car park can be found at the bottom of the drive on the left hand side, Make your way to the front entrance of the college where a member of staff will check your ticket. Please do not use the gardens car park.

Cancellations

Cancellations are permitted up to 14 days before the start of a event, cancellations within 14 days of the event are non refundable. You have the right to cancel within the statutory 14 day cooling off period If you have any questions or queries please contact us at [email protected].

We reserve the right to cancel the event in unusual circumstances. We try to avoid this where possible, but sometimes it is unavoidable. In this situation, a full refund will be given. We’re sorry that we cannot be financially responsible for extreme weather conditions, travel disruption or any other situations that are outside our control.
