About this course

This course helps aspiring interior designers lay strong business foundations – covering branding, business planning, niche strategy and legal essentials – to launch a confident, creative and compliant design practice with purpose and professionalism.

Course Description

Design. Build. Scale. The Interior Design Business Blueprint.

A comprehensive roadmap to launching and running your own profitable interior design practice - laying the foundations of your design business.

Set your practice up for success—strategically, legally and creatively.

This practical, confidence-building course is designed for interior designers who are ready to move from ideas to action and establish their own creative business. Whether you’re just starting out or transitioning from a previous career, this course will provide the clarity, structure and essential knowledge you need to launch with confidence.

You’ll begin by exploring how to name your business and define your brand - looking at what makes a name memorable, marketable and aligned with your values and target audience. You’ll then move on to creating a meaningful and manageable business plan, designed not to overwhelm but to give you direction, focus and purpose.

You’ll also learn how to identify and claim your niche - why it matters, how it positions you in the market and how it helps attract the right clients.

Lastly, the course demystifies the legal and business essentials: registering your business, understanding different structures (sole trader vs. limited company), insurances, contracts and keeping your finances compliant.

This is not a course full of jargon or filler - it’s a solid starting point for anyone serious about turning their design talent into a sustainable business. It combines creative thinking with practical tools, helping you build a business that reflects who you are and what you want to achieve.

By the end of this course, you’ll have the groundwork in place to move forward with confidence and clarity.
