About this course

This course is designed to give students an insight on the specialised world of arms and armour conservation. By the end of the course students should be able to correctly identify different types of arms and armour from around the world and be aware of some of the complex problems associated with their care, display and conservation. Students will be able to handle and work on a selection of replica and original pieces under the guidence of one to one tuition and group discussion. They should leave the course with a much better understanding of the world of arms and armour conservation and what is needed in order to remedy some of the common conservation issues these objects have.
