About this course

Learn how to make a sculptural willow deer using willow weaving techniques.

Course Description

Learn the basic skills to create a three-dimensional deer in willow and how to add detail and strength through choice of material and weaving technique. The course is designed as an introduction to using willow to make sculptural forms and is ideal for those with no prior experience of working with willow. Everyone will take home a finished willow deer.

Willow to create your deer is included in the course fee.

What students need to bring

  • Apron
  • Stout covered footwear
  • Sharp secateurs or side cutters (if possible)
  • Camera (optional) to record techniques

Additional information

Please wear appropriate clothing/aprons for the workshop or studio, this includes stout covered footwear (no open toes or sandals).
