Jeremy Radvan

Jeremy is a drawing tutor of 35 years’ experience. His work is informed by a study of the articulated human figure. He has taught drawing, anatomy and animation at University of Brighton, University of Kingston and Wimbledon School of Art. He has studied illustration at Manchester Polytechnic, Central St Martins and The Royal College of Art.

Approach to teaching
I teach anatomy because it helps to explain and clarify the form of the human figure. It helps the artist to understand what they see.

What inspires my work
I am fascinated by the relationship between drawing and time, hence my interest in movement. I have worked with dancers both as the subjects of drawings and as collaborators in audio-visual performances.
