£13.50 adult entry, free for children under 16West Dean Gardens is hosting the Plant Fair Roadshow for the first time! Set at the foot of the South Downs, historic West Dean is home to one of the finest walled kitchen gardens in the country. Stroll from the traditional Edwardian pergola, sunken garden and Victorian greenhouses to the more experimental drought-tolerant meadow that is covered in recycled stone mulch.
Bring the whole family and explore the nurseries at a really good time for planting. West Dean Gardens, includes a beautiful 49 acre St. Roche's Arboretum in its spring colours. The arboretum offers a brisk two-and-a-half-mile circuit walk that encompasses a fine collection of specimen trees and shrubs and breathtaking views of the surrounding Sussex Downs.
Pop into the Gardens Shop for greetings cards, unusual gifts, garden accessories and plants. After some seasonal shopping enjoy delicious home cooked food, prepared using produce from the kitchen garden wherever possible.

Entry through the West Dean Gardens entrance, not the main College.
