Winter School
25 to 31 January 2027
Start the new year differently by attending one of our curated Winter Schools. Our new Winter Schools provide a chance to step away from the everyday and immerse yourself in creativity, craft and conservation.
Whether you’re looking to develop an existing skill, further advance your practice or give yourself permission to spend a few days doing something you love, escape and create with us this January.
The Winter School week is an immersive learning experience with more time to develop your creativity and embrace opportunities for creative development beyond your chosen course. A detailed timetable for the Winter School week will be given to you on arrival. This will include a variety of extra activities in the day and evening, including:
- Short, inspirational, illustrated talks by tutors
- Showcase of tutor work
- Optional lunchtime tour of the historic rooms at West Dean College and West Dean Tapestry Studio
- Drinks by the fire in the Oak Hall with verse followed by a collective dinner on the last evening
- Informal end-of-course group reviews and displays of work made during Winter School in the studios
- Optional evening at Chichester Festival Theatre (There are no discounted tickets available so please book directly with the Theatre and make your own way there) or view the Edward James film in the Oak Hall
