Caireen O'Hagan is a practising architect and interior designer. She has worked for over 20 years in Glasgow, Boston, New York and London, completing projects in the UK, Ireland, US, Colombia, Russia and China. Her design experience ranges from the big idea to the design and curation of objects, from public squares to hand-crafted hammock hooks.

She worked for many years in the studios of great designers in both architecture and interior design, most notably Niall McLaughlin and Ilse Crawford, through whom she collaborated with exceptional specialists, makers and craftsmen. This range of experience has given her a rare perspective into designing environments.

Since 2016, she has offered design consultancy services through her own studio, CAIREEN, often in collaboration with Corinne Quin and Hannah Butler. Together they offer design and creative direction on projects of all scales, from landscape and architecture, through to interiors and styling.

What excites Caireen about the design and curation of places is its deep power to shape lives. By changing the physical environment, it is possible to capture and change meanings, values and experiences.

Throughout her career, she has taught architecture and design at foundation, graduate and postgraduate levels at The Bartlett UCL, Goldsmiths University, Falmouth University, Central Saint Martins and Greenwich.
