Celia Allen
Celia is a tutor with over 23 years experience of teaching Ceramic's. She was trained at Hammersmith College Of Art, was H.O.D of Ceramic's at St. Leonard's Mayfield and works from her own studio in East Sussex. She shows her work in numerous galleries, namely Rye Art Gallery, Wing Gallery, Pure and is a member of 'The Rye Society Of Artists'.
Various sources inspire me, chiefly nature and the rural environment in which I live. I get inspiration from zoos and museums, especially from cultures including Cycladic and ancient Chinese.
My approach to teaching is to encourage and enable students to gain in confidence helping them to achieve their potential, focusing on essential skills and techniques.
