Cristina Lanz Azcarate is a RIBA Chartered Architect and the Director and co-founder of atelier EURA, a design studio specialised in architecture. With over two and a half decades of experience within the UK construction industry, Cristina’s career spans the full architectural process, including significant client-side experience that has informed her inclusive, collaborative leadership style. From her studio, Cristina combines her project delivery experience with design thinking methodologies and design coaching to help clients articulate their vision and translate ideas into spaces with a lasting purpose.

Her practice is rooted in thoughtful, human-centric design, heritage appreciation, and craft. In an increasingly fast-paced, technology-driven world, Cristina is committed to lifelong learning while also advocating for built environments that prioritise human connection and everyday joy. She views design not merely as a technical exercise, but as a powerful tool for improving lives and fostering community. This commitment to the future of the discipline extends into education and advocacy.

Recognised widely for her industry leadership, Cristina has presented evidence to a Parliamentary inquiry on the built environment, spoken at BBC's Women Hour about Women in Construction, is a Women of the Year alumnus, and was named among the Inspiring Women in Business, STEM, and Technology at a ceremony in the House of Lords. A dedicated educator and network builder, prior to joining KLC School of Design at West Dean, she served as a Tutor for the Interior Design MA at Kingston University between 2023 and 2026. Cristina sits on the committee for NAWIC London & South East following her nine-year tenure as Chair, and remains active across multiple mentoring programs and professional networks.
