David Robertson

David Robertson is an artist specialising in wood engraving. He is an elected member of the Society of Wood Engravers and MAKE Southwest (former Devon Guild of Craftsmen). David exhibits internationally and his work is held in public collections including the Ashmolean Museum and the Royal Collections Trust library at Windsor Castle. He has had residencies at Mawddach in Snowdonia and the Andrew Brownsword Gallery at the University of Bath. He is represented by Zillah Bell Gallery in Thirsk.


What inspires your own work?
My work is inspired by the countryside. I walk and draw, interpreting these sketches into relief prints back in my studio. My favourite landscapes are the National Parks of Snowdonia, Dartmoor and the Peak District.
