Fiona Pickles

A leading designer with multiple TV commissions, a solo exhibition and features in Harpers Bazaar, The Times, Vogue and The English Garden magazine to her name, Fiona teaches dramatic, foam-free installations worldwide. Clients include The RHS, Sarah Raven, flowers for The Queen, & Other Stories, Chatsworth House and Jo Malone.

Approach to teaching
I demonstrate how to look at things differently, to appreciate the overlooked and unwanted as beautiful items in their own right and transform them into a thing of beauty.

What inspires my work
I embrace imperfection, see beauty in the ugly, unloved, overlooked, dead and unexpected: fallen branches, discarded stems or beautifully coloured and textured detritus from the woodland floor or compost areas.
