Leigh Russell
Known for her crime fiction series, which has sold two million books, Leigh has also been published in other genres, including historical fiction and dystopian fiction. She reads widely across different genres.
Having written forty traditionally published novels, Leigh has worked on her writing with professional editors forty times. This experience has taught her how to hone her writing skills. With an early background in teaching, she enjoys passing on the knowledge she has acquired in twenty years of working on her own novels.
Leigh has worked as a writing skills tutor in France, Greece, Italy and the UK. She offers Creative Writing masterclasses at universities and literary festivals. Her teaching style has been described as “inspirational”.
In addition to writing, Leigh is a freelance editor. She serves as Chair of Judges for the Crime Writers Association International Emerging Authors Dagger Award and is a Consultant Fellow for the Royal Literary Fund.
