Nicky Oliver

Nicky Oliver owns and runs the Black Fox Bindery, based in North London. She is an active member of both the Society of Bookbinders and the Designer Bookbinders, of which she is a fellow. With over 15 years experience working in commercial binderies, she has honed a range of skills that include box-making, tooling and blocking, inlay and onlay work, working with leather and small-run limited edition bindings. Nicky also has extensive teaching experience through the short courses and workshops that are run at the Black Fox Bindery. She is committed to keeping the craft of bookbinding alive, a primary reason for the establishment of the Black Fox Bindery and for her tuition of the next generation of binders.
