Describe your approach to teaching
I have had over 20 years of experience teaching at a variety of levels, covering elements of writing such as story arc, character development, structure, plot, pace, genre and format, as well as the practical side of where, when and how you write, insight into the writing industries, and exploring inspiration, theme and purpose. I work across a number of mediums including books, audio, TV and theatre.

What inspires your own work?
I am passionate about supporting other writers and continuing to learn myself. I create work that centres the misfits and the marginalised and tells us something about the times and world we live in. I read, listen and watch broadly but am most inspired by those that show me a world and human experience that is fresh and unique.
