Entry requirements

No previous experience in garden design is required for this course. 
Students should have basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and web/internet skills) and be confident using a computer.

English Language
A good command of written and spoken English is required.

It is recommended that students have a reliable, high-speed internet connection. A broadband connection is necessary to access the videos and online training sessions effectively in this course.

This course offers flexible payment options:

We may routinely increase our course fees from year to year for one-year courses as well as courses lasting two or more years and may review and change such course fees without notice.

It's a self-paced course that can be started at any time and from anywhere in the world. There are no fixed start dates, giving you the flexibility to learn on your own schedule. 

Is the Online Certificate in video format in terms of the modules to follow along? 
Yes, course includes pre-recorded videos and practical assignments all delivered through an engaging online platform. 

Do we need to buy the software Vectorworks, Landmark and Sketchup for the course?  

  • Vectorworks & Landmark (free for registered students)
  • SketchUp (student discount available)

Is the Certificate validated? 
While the Online Certificate course is not validated by a university, it is still an industry-recognised qualification which is highly regarded within the industry. 

How much time do I need to dedicate to the course per week?  
On average, students who commit 12 hours a week to study can complete the course in 12 months. Students have 12 months of online access to all of the course content.

If I don’t complete the course within 12 months, is there an option to extend access? 
Yes, the following extension options are offered for continuing study past the first year.

  • 750 for the 2nd year
  • £550 for the 3rd year

Maximum of 3 years in total access to the course. Unfortunately, we are unable to extend access by month, only in yearly blocks.
