Creative Taster Sessions
Follow your curiosity and try something new.
There are some things we always mean to try. Picking up a brush, maybe. Making a print, or working with colour, texture or thread.
Our Creative Taster Sessions offer two unhurried hours around the Gardens Gatehouse craft table to follow your curiosity, explore a new art or craft, and leave with a finished piece of your own.
With step-by-step guidance from expert West Dean tutors, and no more than 12 people in each session, these tasters are designed to offer a relaxed and welcoming way into making. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided.
Sessions run on Saturdays, with morning and afternoon options available. There’s plenty to choose from, making it easy to find a session that feels right for you, whether; that’s print, textiles, drawing, painting or botanical inks.
Come on your own, book with a friend or gather a small group around the table. Then enjoy the satisfaction of making and seeing where your imagination takes you.
What you need to know:
- £45 per person
- Two-hour introductory workshop to a wide variety of arts and crafts
- All materials and tools provided
- No experience required - simply turn up, enjoy the process and take home what you create
- Saturday morning and afternoon sessions
- Maximum of 12 places
- Suitable for adults. Aspiring young makers aged 16-17 are welcome on many sessions by arrangement*
- Free parking
- Complimentary entry to West Dean Gardens included
