About this course
A taster session to introduce basic tapestry weaving techniques including plain weave, different approaches to diagonals, and a look into hatching and half-passes. This two hour taster session will be held on the Gardens Gatehouse Craft Table. Please access via the Gardens Entrance.
Course Description
An introduction to tapestry weaving on a small frame loom, perfect for beginners wanting to try a traditional textile craft.
Through guided, hands-on practice, youll explore how to build pattern, structure, and texture while gaining confidence with yarn and simple tools. You will take home your own woven sample at the end of the session.
