A taster session to introduce you to Transfer printing on Fabric with disperse Dyes and a heat press (sublimation printing).
Course Description
Transfer printing is a versatile and popular method to transfer designs or patterns onto synthetic fabrics. The process involves the use of transfer dyes, which are painted onto paper and then transferred, using either an iron or a heat press, onto synthetic fabrics.
On this taster workshop, you will be learning how to transfer images onto fabric using this method. We will be using painted papers to transfer images onto fabric using stencils, leaves and plants creating exciting and unique patterns.
What you'll make:
- A small range of printed fabric samples

This two-hour taster session will be held at our Craft Table in the Gardens Gatehouse. Please access via the Gardens entrance.
