Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour to explore the life and work of Edward James and how his creative partnerships with prominent Surrealists such as Salvador Dalí, René Magritte and Leonora Carrington led to his involvement with some of the most iconic works, including the Mae West Lips Sofa and Lobster Telephone.

West Dean Gardens is hosting the Plant Fairs Roadshow for the first time on Sunday 7 September 2025.

This recital features Roy Stratford on piano, Marina Solarek on violin and Kim Mackrell on cello, and will feature a soirée of music by Ravel, Debussy and Fauré, including Debussy's Piano Trio and some popular French favourites.
