This two day course will enable you to create a willow stag over a steel frame armature using a free weaving technique grounded in traditional methods.
You will explore anatomical form of a stag by drawing with willow.
The aim is to learn and improve your dexterity with weaving to create a sculpture.
This course is aimed at those with some previous weaving experience and requires good hand dexterity and patience when working with willow. While the techniques are taught at an intermediate level, enthusiastic beginners who are naturally practical, enjoy working with their hands, and are confident picking up new skills are very welcome to join in the fun.

A variety of art and craft materials are available from the Garden's Gatehouse Shop.
