Describe your approach to teaching:

My approach to teaching is hands-on, experimental and with a strong emphasis on using found materials. I seek to provide a supportive space for learning which encourages each individual to seek an inventive interpretation of textile and mixed media processes taught as part of their exploration of developing a 'creative language'.

What inspires your own work?

Described as ‘painting with cloth’ my interests lie in the liminal, ‘in-between’ spaces connecting land, people and place. The history and familiarity of worn cotton, paper and found materials mark the passing of time, informing the narratives contained within the work.
