Ingrid Riollot

Ingrid stands as a luminary figure in the world of classical guitar. Internationally acclaimed for her technique and musical sensitivity, her performances move audiences of all ages. Her passion for the guitar has taken her to the music scenes of the five continents: France, Spain, Italy, New-Zealand, Australia, Hong-Kong, China, Peru, Thailand, Malaysia, United-Kingdom, Canada, Mauritius, Rodrigues, Marocco, Switzerland, Chile.

Ingrid regularly sits as a jury member and brings her expertise to international guitar and teacher competitions: Changsha International Guitar Competition, Albania International Guitar Competition, Academy Rainier III Monaco, Adelaide International Competition.

As a valued pedagogue, Ingrid's master classes and lectures have become sought-after experiences in academies and universities: Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, UQAM Université du Québec à Montréal, Silpakorn University Bangkok, University of Chile Santiago, University of Pedagogy Chile.

Ingrid has been fortunate to benefit from the teachings of Marc Franceries, Jesus Castro-Balbi, Ricardo Gallen, Joaquin Clerch, Marco Tamayo, David Russell... First Prize Unanimously with the Congratulations of the jury of the Lyon Conservatory, she graduates of the Pôle Supérieur d'Art de Lorraine and holds a Master's Degree in pedagogy. Ingrid has more than two decades of experience teaching in Conservatoires in France, Switzerland and China.

Her eclectic musical career testifies to her love for chamber music and world music, with notable collaborations with artists such as the guitarists: Craig Ogden, Vincent Lindsey-Clark, The Grigoryan Brothers, Paul Svoboda, Tania Chagnot, Sandrine Vialette (flute), Anaïs Gaudemard (harp), Juliette Maeder (cello), Patrick Bebey (Sanza, pygmy flute, drums.) Ingrid is a member of the Australian guitar quartet, the Silver Sands Guitar Quartet.

She regularly performs as a soloist with various orchestras. Ingrid’s musical legacy is further immortalised through six remarkable recordings. Her four solo albums include Homage (2015), My Guitar (2021, Soundset Recordings, USA), Leyenda (2022, King Parrot Classics), and Travel Notes (2025, Soundset Recordings, USA). In chamber music, she has recorded three albums with the Silver Sands Guitar Quartet: The World in a Single Grain (2024, Soundset Recordings, USA), Strange Times (2026), and, in duet with Patrick Bebey, African Sunrise: Tribute to Francis Bebey (December 2025).

Beyond the stage and studio, Ingrid's influence extends to the airwaves, with her music broadcast on platforms such as Radio France, ABC Australia, Mauritius Broadcast Corporation, Radio 1 Mauritius, The Heroines of the Classical Guitar podcast (Canada).

Residing in Esperance, Western Australia since 2018, Ingrid never stops perfecting her art and promoting her passion. Ambassador for the classical guitar community, Ingrid is the "Godmother" of the Classical Guitar Society of Mauritius. Since 2024, she has been an editor atDoberman-Yppan Publishing (Canada) and manages her collection. Since 2024, she is the Artistic Director of the Taranaki Classical Summer School and Concert Series in New Zealand. She collaborates with composers, enriching the repertoire for the guitar. Many works are dedicated to her. Ambassador for Savarez strings and Sage Work Guitar Support, Ingrid plays on a Smallman guitar.
