Moji Salehi

Moji is a designer, maker, and tutor with a deep passion for traditional crafts and printmaking. With a background in interior design and upholstery, her enthusiasm for teaching lampshade making and printmaking began in 2008. Since then, she has been teaching both disciplines from her studios in Lewes and Brighton, combining hands-on techniques with sharing her experience of running a craft business.

Moji works with students from diverse backgrounds around the world. Her work is featured in private collections and has been showcased at various craft fairs and exhibitions. She is a member of professional craft communities, including Heritage Crafts and the Crafts Council, which celebrate and support hand-crafted traditions.

Describe your approach to teaching
My approach is hands-on and supportive, encouraging students to build confidence through practice, creativity, and problem-solving in a relaxed and inspiring studio environment.

What inspires your own work?
I’m inspired by cultural heritage, timeless craftsmanship, storytelling, and diverse traditions, blending these with the beauty of the British landscape to create meaningful, enduring, and timeless pieces.
