Discover the fascinating world of colour mixing and gain the confidence to make informed colour choices in your artwork. The day begins with an inspiring illustrated talk exploring the principles of colour theory, followed by a series of practical colour-mixing exercises designed to deepen your understanding.
Through hands-on experimentation, you'll create a collection of beautiful and highly useful colour charts that can become an invaluable reference for future painting projects. By the end of the course, you'll have a clearer understanding of how colours interact and how to achieve the hues and harmonies you want with confidence.
For those who already have some experience of colour theory, there will also be the opportunity to apply your knowledge by painting a colourful still life.

On this course the College will supply some of the materials, including watercolour paper and masking tape.
Please wear appropriate clothing/aprons for the workshop or studio, this includes stout covered footwear (no sandals or open toes).
Student registration: 10am- 10.30am
Course teaching: 10.30am-4.30pm
Morning session: 10.30am-1pm
Lunch break: 1pm-2pm (lunch is not included)
Afternoon session: 2pm-4.30pm (optional 15 minute break)
