About this course

A taster session to introduce you to Intaglio printing with a Tetra Pak. This two hour taster session will be held on the Gardens Gatehouse Craft Table. Please access via the Gardens Entrance.

Course Description

Tetra Pak printing is an intaglio method of printing where marks are made into a plate (Tetra Pak) with an etching needle or small sections are cut away with a craft knife. Your plate will be inked using etching inks, which are worked into the recessed areas. The raised surface is wiped clean to create highlights and midtones. Plates will be run through a printing press with dampened paper to produce a print.

What you'll make:

  • A finished artwork: small edition of prints
