From the author of THE COMING DARKNESS trilogy and THE MAISIE COOPER MYSTERIES, this comprehensive, whole-day workshop will teach you how to develop and structure an entire novel plot, characters, locations, time-period, suspense, twists and clever endings.
Topics will include: an inspiring exploration of wonderful dramatic dates and locations; devising compelling characters; generating a complex plot; balancing subplots; using real life as inspiration; surprise twists and fulfilling reveals; convincing endings.
The day will end with a question-and-answer session where you can raise issues specific to your own writing.
A laptop and/or notepad and pen
A good variety of art and craft materials are available to buy in the Gardens Gatehouse Shop.
Please wear appropriate clothing/aprons for the workshop or studio, this includes stout covered footwear (no sandals or open toes). There is a small lift to higher floors or stairs.
