About this course

A taster session to introduce you to block printing. This 2-hour taster session will be held on the Gardens Gatehouse Craft Table. Please access via the Gardens Entrance.

Course Description

Discover the art of block printing using as selection of brass inlay Indian printing blocks. Following a short demonstration, you’ll practise printing on paper before designing and hand-printing your own tote bag to take home. Suitable for complete beginners and anyone curious to explore a creative new craft.

What you'll make:

  • A printed cotton tote bag, sample fabric and papers

Jenney Kelly

Jenney Kelly is a block printer, bespoke textile maker and eco-dyer. Studying Art & Design, she followed this with a career as a 3D modeller & Visual Engineer. Jenney has studied textiles, printing & natural dyeing, furthering her skills with textile artisans in India, UK and Europe.
