Join Mark and Haroun for a circular walk around part of the West Dean Estate to include the Arboretum.
The walk is 2.66 miles over uneven and sometimes steep terrain, through woodland and pasture. There will be stopping points along the route with time for discussion and questions along the way. We advise comfortable walking equipment including a rucksack, water bottle, something to sit on, weather appropriate clothing and footwear.

Haroun Hayward's show at Pallant House has come out of the West Dean Residency Programme. Haroun spent 3-weeks at West Dean last summer. Over this period, he spent time working in the Fine Art studios, studied the gardens, and toured the wider Estate.

Mark Roberts is a West Dean Fellow. He was the Field Tutor at UCL until 2022, leading excavations in and around the Estate. He built his reputation through finding the internationally significant archaeological site at Boxgrove.
