Course Description

This introductory session invites you to slow down and discover the joys of 'living colour' -pigment and ink drawn directly from plants. Working with botanical inks, you will explore mark-making and pattern on paper, guided through a process that is both meditative and full of surprise.

You will learn something of the remarkable history of colour, dip your brush into this fluid and expressive medium, and discover how simple kitchen chemistry can shift hues and extend the palette in unexpected directions. The session is relaxed, stimulating, and held in good company.
