About this course

Crafting a unique, focal artistic wreath using dried florals and foraged everlasting material, and experimenting with a wild and whimsical style.

Course Description

This one-day course will be a guide to all things dried flowers. Your tutor will cover the allure of dried flowers for floristry and crafts, guide you through the ins-and-outs of growing, drying, and foraging, and lead a demonstration and session on floristry with dried flowers.

The day will begin with a presentation and conversation, with the remainder of the morning and afternoon dedicated to demonstrations and practicing dried flower floristry. Get acquainted with the feeling of working with dried flowers and Lucy’s signature wild and quirky style, working on two separate crafting projects: wreath-making and crafting a freestanding arrangement.

The course is aimed at people interested in pursuing dried flower floristry as a vocation or small business, or incorporating dried into their fresh floristry set-up, as a new hobby, or keen gardeners interested in including growing and drying flowers into their gardening practices. Gain a fresh perspective on how you view and approach the plants you grow in your garden, as well as the therapeutic and creative benefits of a session of dried flower floristry, returning home with some beautiful pieces that you have carefully and consciously crafted.
