The course is aimed at those wishing to adopt a cottage garden style at home. Full of tips and inspiration, this course will explore all aspects of cottage gardens, starting with the terminology and the history of cottage gardens.
The tutor will draw on knowledge from creating their own cottage garden at home, as well as their experience of working in some of Gertrude Jekylls gardens with cottage garden styles.
The course will help inform how to design, plant and maintain your own cottage garden. It will include a led walk through the gardens, looking at cottage garden style plants.
Please wear appropriate clothing/aprons for the workshop or studio, this includes stout covered footwear (no sandals or open toes).
Student registration: 9.15am-9.30am
Course teaching: 9.30am-5pm
Morning session: 9.30am-1pm
Lunch break: 1pm-2pm (lunch included)
Afternoon session: 2pm-5pm
